Sir Ben Kingsley held up in bank carpark

Sir Ben Kingsley is the latest celebrity to join the Robin Hood Tax campaign, appearing in a British YouTube video supporting the movement.

In the video, the legendary actor plays a bank director held up by what appears to be a gang of hoods – but is actually a group of up-and-coming actors in support the Robin Hood Tax campaign.

The actors include Noel Clarke (Kidulthood, Dr Who), Tom Felton (Harry Potter), Joe Dempsie (Skins), Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners) and Jaime Winstone (Kidulthood).

Be A Robin Hoodie

Sir Kingsley and his co-stars join a growing tide of global celebrities in support of the Robin Hood Tax, from Bono’s good mate and world-renowned economist Jeffrey Sachs to Bill Nighy, Richard Curtis, Emma Thompson and Sienna Miller.

In Australia, comedian and satirist Julian Morrow has spoken out in support of the Tax, as has ethicist Peter Singer, economist Ross Buckley and humanitarian Reverend Tim Costello.
