Melbournites strut their good green stuff
MELBOURNE: Wearing green masks, hats and tights, Oxfam staff, volunteers and supporters paraded their way around Melbourne CBD last week.
The group was raising awareness about the Robin Hood Tax in the lead-up to the G20 summit in Canada.
Despite the obvious fashion statements (Friar Tuck’s bald head piece was especially stylish), the action included some help from the Trade Union choir and some theatrics from all, including the best-dressed Robin Hood addressing the good people of Melbourne.
Special thanks go to Oxfam staff from Creative Resources, Customer Service, Advocacy, PDU & International Programs, as well as the ASU.
