Who we are

The Australian Robin Hood Tax campaign is part of a global movement growing at an unprecedented rate.

Globally, it is an alliance of Robin Hood groups in countries including Australia, the UK, the US, Canada, Germany, France and Belgium. Each of these groups is supported by dozens of their own national charities, aid agencies, unions and church groups. Global personalities to openly support the Robin Hood Tax range from world-leading economists to politicians, philosophers, financiers and actors.

Locally, the Robin Hood Tax Australia group spans an alliance of aid agencies, green groups, think tanks, unions and faith-based networks, backed by leading Australian academics and economists. Personalities to openly back the campaign include Professor Peter Singer, Professor Ross Buckley, Reverend Tim Costello and satirist Julian Morrow.

On the web, the Robin Hood Tax campaign is growing daily. The Australia group has its own Facebook, Twitter and Flickr sites, and most Robin Hood country groups, such as the UK and Canada, now have their own websites. There is a global Facebook site, Youtube site and Flickr site, too, along with emerging associated groups such as Make Finance Work. And there’s much, much more!
